The only adobe of the rare “Mighty Asiatic Lion”, Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the most popular attractions in the land of Gujarat.
Wildlife : The wildlife lovers can get an excellent opportunity to witness around 2,400 distinct fauna species of Gir to comprise about 37 species of mammals, 299 species of birds, 36 species of reptiles and over 2,001 kinds of insects.
The rich wildlife in Gir National Park consist of the presence of Golden Jackals, Asiatic lions, Indian Palm Civets, Indian Leopards, Indian Mongoose, Cobras, Sloth bears, Jungle cats, Striped Hyenas and Ratels. Desert cats and Rusty-spotted cats are existent but can be hardly seen.
